Religious Education
In keeping with the mission of St. Therese Parish to pursue the way to do even the little things with great love, our parish Religious Education programs will serve the young people of our parish by:
1. Developing within all participants a loving relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. Teaching the faith and traditions of the Catholic Church in a way that encourages the living of them.
3. Providing opportunities for personal and communal prayer.
4. Fostering the growth of Catholic moral principles and the spirit of community.
Religious Education Classes Grades 1-8
Classes are every Sunday at St. Therese School 9:15 am - 10:15 am . Fee is $50.00 per student. You can find the registration form here. Please return the form at the parish office.
Registration
Sacrament Preparation for 1st Communion & 1st Penance
Either attending a Catholic school or the Sunday Religious Education program, two years of religious education formation is required to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.
Dates in 2025: First Reconciliation is TBD
First Holy Communion is April 27, during the 10:30am Mass

Confirmation Preparation
Pre-confirmation Year
This year students will begin the two year preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation as well as 12 hours of the teachings of the Theology of the Body. In addition, it is encouraged to begin to think about a confirmation sponsor.
The confirmation sponsor is required to be an active member of a Catholic parish and over the age of sixteen. A parent is not eligible to be a sponsor.
Confirmation Year
According to our diocesan guidelines, classes will be devoted to the preparation for the yearly celebration of Confirmation. Confirmation candidates are expected to participate actively in our Christian service opportunities, and attend the Confirmation Retreat. If the Confirmation celebration is before our last class we do expect the students to continue their study of our faith until the program ends in April.
If the confirmandi was not baptized at St. Therese, please provide a copy of the candidate’s baptismal certificate. If the sponsor is not a member of St. Therese parish, the sponsor will need to provide verification of his/her parish membership.
